A series of foundations and elevated pedestals to support new equipment.
Brownco installed the foundation and screen wall enclosure for a large Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer at Oakley, Inc.’s manufacturing facility in Foothill Ranch.
We had the unique opportunity to get involved early with the design team and provide our input on this particular project.
It consisted of a series of foundations and elevated pedestals to support the new equipment. In addition, it consisted of thirty-three (33) 24” diameter by 6’ deep column footings to support the 14’ tall perimeter screen wall columns.
Brownco fabricated the HSS screen wall columns and horizontal supports in house and erected them in the field.
The coordination with the engineer, equipment supplier, the sheet metal contractor and owner on this project was what added to its success.
Just as the concrete achieved its specified design strength the RTO arrived and was set on the new foundation.
Brownco then followed suit and erected the louvered screen wall enclosure and was then shortly thereafter tied into the building by the sheet metal contractor who fabricated and supplied the ducting.

Oakley was able to get back into production and help the environment by eliminating VOC’s.
