We are a well-established construction company, based out of Anaheim and serving Southern California.

Building with Purpose

“I have had the privilege of working with Brownco on multiple projects. Their attention to detail and knowledge of the trade shines throughout all of their workmanship.”

Steven HansenHansen Cold Storage Construction, Vernon, CA

Brownco Inc. is a family owned and operated business performing new, specialized and maintenance construction for commercial and industrial facilities. It was conceived in 1953 by Robert Brown who established his company’s reputation as a self-performing contractor offering competitive pricing and quality service.

Scot Brown re-established Brownco in 1999 and developed a diverse team to broaden the company’s capabilities all the while continuing to provide quality service.

Scot’s son Andrew has followed his father and grandfather’s footsteps. His intention is to carry on Brownco’s legacy and live out the company’s mission statement of “Building with Purpose” and providing its customer the same quality of service that his grandfather envisioned.

Brownco's team is licensed, insured and certified to assist you in your project - no matter how small or large; we can build, modify and complete your project safely and efficiently.

The Team

We are a qualified, experienced and highly competent team of construction professionals with a passion for the work we do.

CEO

Scot Brown

Scot Brown is known for “Pounding the Pavement” as he says. As Brownco’s key man, CEO, lead estimator, top salesman and concrete expert you are guaranteed to get the best when he sets foot on a jobsite.

As an entrepreneur, Scot has created and successfully ran several businesses in the construction industry. The knowledge that he has cultivated and refined throughout his career makes him a truly invaluable resource to our customers and their projects.

Scot has created an unshakable team around himself that we call Brownco Construction. There is nothing that this man cannot take on.

Bachelor of Science from Chico State

President

Andrew Brown

Andrew is the third generation Brown to work for Brownco Construction. He followed his father footsteps by earning a BS in Construction Management from Chico State.

After several internships with large general contractors in Southern California he came back to the Family Business to continue the legacy.

The concept of “building with purpose” has been around since Brownco’s conception but Andrew was finally able to put a label on it.

To him, Brownco doesn’t just pour concrete or erect steel.

“We create solutions to problems; we make facilities more efficient and productive but most importantly we help the companies we serve add more to their bottom line.”

To him, that’s what “Building with Purpose” is all about.

Concrete Project Manager

Joseph Lewen

Joseph gained his skills through years of hands-on field work in the concrete construction industry.

After several years of successfully running projects in the field he worked his way into the office as an estimator and project manager.

Joseph holds his C-8 contractor’s license with the CSLB, a professional certificate in construction estimating from San Diego State University, and multiple safety certifications; he is one of the most knowledgeable and hands on Project Managers you will meet.

Steel Project Manager

Jeremy Davenport

Jeremy’s career began in the army. When he retired from the army, he began working in the steel industry.

Through years of hard work, he climbed his way from shop laborer to certified welder. Jeremy has played an instrumental role in Brownco obtaining its LA City License for Steel Fabrication.

His knowledge and mastery of the steel trade can be seen in his ability to cite specific paragraphs, tables and even pages numbers of the code.

When he’s not cranking out proposals in the office and managing the steel fabrication shop, he enjoys golfing and fishing with his kids.

Project Manager

Christine Moananu-Peko

Christine’s attention to detail is second to none. Her mastery of administration has given her the knowledge to preform just about every role in the office.

This was never enough for Christine; her tenacity gave her the ability to become the first female concrete project manager at Brownco.  After all, she handled most of the paper work for the project managers as is.

“After receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Communications, I started with Brownco Construction as the receptionist and quickly moved into assisting the project managers with administrative tasks; which included pulling city permits, safety monitoring and pre-clearances on site.

“Learning the ropes from the project managers has pushed me to want to keep learning more in the construction industry, especially in the concrete trade.”

As far as she is concerned this is just the beginning of her project management career and looks forward to mastering this new role.

What we do

We provide cast in place concrete and structural steel services for a wide variety of industrial and commercial projects.

Our Services

In all our work we keep our focus on the three key aspects: Safety, Quality and Service.

As well as delivering new cast-in-place concrete projects, we undertake concrete repairs, refurbishment and concrete maintenance. Our work covers all stages: demolition, excavation, rebar installation and placement.

Our structural steel teams have been erecting steel columns, beams, platforms, mezzanines, stairways and structures for 20+ years. However, in 2019 Brownco obtained its LA City Certification for Steel Fabrication. We are now proudly fabricating all of the steel in house for our structural steel projects.

As the company’s skillset and experience broaden so does our capacity to help our clients envision how their business aims can be supported through changes to their facilities; Brownco can help every step of the way.

One of our specialties is working within existing and operating facilities where cleanliness and time frames are crucial. We specialize in “shut-down” work and we will work off hours, weekends and even Holidays to get your project started and finished with the cleanliness and schedule you need.

Brownco has the depth, experience, leadership and direction to manage your projects from concept to completion.
