 2 Ford Explorers

Having reliable transport is a must for any construction company. Part of the job is being able to move efficiently between work sites.

For that we need vehicles which are not only fit for purpose, but vehicles which are robust enough to withstand the rigours of our work and at the same time provide value for money!

The classic white pickup truck is the staple of any construction company and Brownco Construction Company, Inc. is no exception to this standard. We exclusively use white Ford Motor Company trucks in our fleet and over the years they have proven their value to us in helping get the job done!

We have just taken delivery of two new Ford Motor Company Explorers for our project managers, and we see this vehicle as providing everything which is needed to be useful part of the Brownco fleet. The decision to buy Ford vehicles was not in question, but this time we decided to go with the Explorer rather than our traditional choice of the F 150.

We went for the Explorer as we saw this as a way to reduce our carbon emissions and our fuel costs. This is perhaps not a massive step towards reducing our carbon footprint but nonetheless it is a solid move in the right direction.

On the commercial side, we used South Bay Ford Lincoln to supply the vehicles.

Brownco is based out of Anaheim, and we are surrounded by Ford dealerships, but none have taken care of us like the guys at South Bay. I cannot begin to explain how pleasant the experience was working with Pat McKinley, their retail fleet and commercial sales manager.

He was professional, forthright and took the time to understand and evaluate our requirements. He truly gave me that “quintessential white glove customer experience” and have created another loyal customer … so much so I’ve almost forgotten the sit in the 405 traffic to get to work with them!

As well as the F-150 vehicles we also have a number of F-250s in the fleet, just like this one. These are real workhorses. Our operations manager took one with a V-10 engine to 498,000 milers and was looking forward to taking it on to 500,000.

He was robbed of this dream … along with the vehicle. The F-250 was stolen and the catalytic converter was cut out of the vehicle. The cost of a new converter was greater that the value of the vehicle so, sadly, it was removed from service.

It’s not just Explorers and F250s in our fleet. We have a variety of vehicles to undertake different functions right up to the big F750 … a real work-horse!  The consistent factors are that all the vehicles are white … and they’re all Ford.

I’m looking forward to getting the Explorers out onto the road and getting them working on our Brownco projects.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for a new Ford Motor Company vehicle, check out the guys at South Bay Ford Lincoln.  They will take care of you and get you a great deal! Just ask for McKinley!
